A Reason for The Season: Keep Peace

I don't usually post things on my home country.  There are reasons for that, but today I am going to make an exception to the rule. As it's time for me to say something about race, my opinion is too long to put in a Facebook Status. So here goes, and bare with me, and if you try troll, or hurt my feelings, you'll be removed from my facebook friend list and blogger permantely. So just take a chance on me and just listen.

I grew up in a promidently white small town.   However,  my parents raised me  with the idea that all lives are important. Even mine, a kid with a disability plus a heart condition. Now you may say, what does that have to do with race? Everything. Having a disability is a totally different world, and we get treated just as badly as black people in public places.

Here's what I know:  If you're visbily different  from someone else, you get treated differently.  It's not just a color thing, it's a people thing. If  you have a wheel chair, you're less likely to get asked to a dance. If you stutter and have anxiety, you'll be  builled by those who think they can bully you.

Black and White. Why should color matter? Why should college kids at Morgan State disrupt a family fun event?    Kingsley Shacklebolt, a character , more precisly an auror and Minster of Magic  after The Second War, in Harry Potter, said " Every human lives matters."



Are we too thick not see that? That we're all HUMAN.  we all have hearts, minds, and bodies. It's how we use them.


I want to make it clear that I do not agree with the courts decision on Officer Darren Wilson.  However, are the people who threatened him any better than Darren Wilson?  I understand the need to have our voices heard.   What I don't understand is why, do we have to be so violent to each other?

I think both races are at fault. Yes, I blamed both.  Because we are both human, and we both make
mistakes.

I just think that there's a better way to protest than to throw a riot, to disrupt and cause safety focnerns at family friendly event.  I know that there are better ways to make a point than having your child play dead in a mall.  These protests are the kind I don't like to see in my newsfeed because  they cause or can cause more violence. You can try and say  I don't understand what it's like to be black, and  I'll agree with you. I'll also  tell you  you don't know what it's like to have a disbality nd yo be treated like a child even when you're 24.     The fact of the matter is that the violence that's happening  isn't going to get our disagreements solved.   I know midwest history and I know southern history better than you think. I know about the violence white men can do. I also know about the violence black men can do.  That's just from seeing what I see in the city. It goes back to what I was saying earlier:  Black and White, we're all human, we do good things, we do bad things. We also set the example for our children.

So, my protest is:  It's the holiday season. Don't protest because your friend told you should. Research and find details. Then decide. If  you think it's a valid enough reason to  disrupt a family event with kids under the age of 4 and underarmed, then that's your choice.  If anything I said in this post was just rambling, then at least take these two quotes with you:

Hello Everyone! I am sorry for  not writing in a  long time, do mainly to school.  However this weekend.. an event is happening to big to post! So let's get started!



This weekend, December 7th through December 8th,  Prince William and Kate are  coming to the United States for their first tour since having Prince George. Prince George will remain at home!


 Prince William and Kate will be visiting their  charities in New York , called Tusk Trust, United for Wildlife, Centrepoint, Place2Be, The Art Room, and BAFTA. They will also attend private functions   held by the Royal Foundation in Manhattan. They will also attend a NBA game.
 
On December 9th,  Prince William will go to Washington D.C. on his own,  at the United States Captial. During this time, Kate will  visit a local child development center in NYC, also attend a lunch hosted by  the British Consulate General.


In other news:

 
Rupert Grint is currently on Broadway in New York City playing a regular role in  It's Only a Play  with Matthew Broderick.

Grint's voice can also be heard as the narrater for the Kid's science film,  We are Aliens.  Which is an amazing film to  watch and listen too.   His film, Postman Pat is also at available  at your local redbox.

His newest films include:  Trainwreck 2015, Victor Frankenstein, 2015 and Now You See Me: The Second act. You can hear his voice in The Simposons, Diggs and Edmund.   His romantic comedy What If came out on DVD  last Friday.

Emma Watson has been spotted with Harry Styles at the British Style  Awards.   She will also be in these upcoming films: Regression,  Colonia Diginidad,  and La La Land.

Prince George walks, Duchess Kate Remembers, Prince William Flies, and Emma Watson laughs

This  summer has been  a busy one so I have not been able to blog as much, so let's get started!




Prince William and Duchess Kate recently  unveiled a field of poppies at The Tower of London in memory of those who lost their lives in World War 100 years ago. Prince William,  Kate and Harry each planted a poppy in memory.  There were also 50 other heads of state  from England that participated in this event.

Prince William is becoming an air ambulance  pilot.  He will join the  East Anglian Air Ambulance. He will be apart of the crew for two years,  it is also said that all of his earnings will be sent to charity.

Prince George Celebrated his first birthday with his family and the Royal family.  The little tyke can now walk, crawl, and grab people.
Prince George is a long way from flying  an Air Ambulance Helicopter like his Dad, but he  is beginning to walk.  Duchess Kate has also said that little Prince George loves swimming,  and he will grab anything and make it splash.  Speaking of people who like to make big splashes on big screens, let's  see what Daniel Radcliffe has been up to since The Cripple of an  Inishmaan.



Daniel Radcliffe just turned 25  at the end of his Broadway play, The Cripple of an Inishmaan.   He has recently rated his own acting ability in Harry Potter, and says his roles in  the films are poor acting skills, and makes himself sit through the movies to learn from them.     He also just released  What If on August 8th in selected cities and will be in  new movie, Trainwreck.



Emma Watson  just participated in a feminist act against Turkey's deputy prime minister who has said that the women should not laugh in public.  She had tweeted a photo of herself last Friday,  that included a link to the Turkish deputy  Prime Minister's article on women.  Emma Watson is a true Gryffindor, and also doesn't care what people think about her.




Rupert Grint will be on Broadway. This fall he we co-star with Matthew Broderick  in It's Only a Play in  New York, New York. Also it is  a very noticeable feature in Rupert Grant that he looks like the British Singer,  Ed Sheeran. Rupert Grint also starred in Ed sheeran's Lego House video a while back.  Rupert Grint's other performances include: Postman Patt,  and It's Only a Play.

Welcome To The Hogwarts Times, where you'll get everything you ever wanted about Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson,  and Rupert Grint and other cast members of Dumbledore's Arm in Harry Potter.. Along with your favorite Princess and Prince, William and Kate.  So let's see whats happening this week with our people!

Prince William and Princess Kate

A year ago, Prince George was born, and now he turns one. According to People Magazine, the little tyke is walking, talking, and babbling. Sometimes  Kate and little George sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat.  Also, if asked, Princess Kate and the palace will deny the pregnancy rumors, but do hope to give Prince George a sibling sometime.  As for now, William will have a long time job with air ambulance.

Prince Harry attended the 2014 BITC Responsible Business Awards Gala with Prince William to recognize those in the business industry. Prince Harry also took the Polo fields, and led his team  to victory against his royal navy counterparts. Prince George also got to watch Prince William and Uncle Harry play polo, though it turns out he didn't really pay attention all that much.

Tom Felton has been busy.  Recently he is starring in the show, Murder in the First, a murder mystery/crime show.  He will also be staring in the new film, Ghosts of the Pacific. The film will retell the story of the pilot Harold Dixon and Tony Pastula (Tom Felton) along with radioman, Gene Aldrich (. They are assigned a scouting  mission in World War II. It will be a film kind of like Cast Away with Tom Hanks, only on a raft in the middle of the ocean.

Evanna Lynch has been exploring all the new Harry Potter Worlds.  She and Tom Felton attending the grand opening of  The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Japan.  Which Mugglenet has mentioned is has the black lake and cheer-leading pom-pom sized Pygmy Puffs

Matthew Lewis just celebrated his 25th birthday.  It's hard to believe that when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone came out into theaters,  Lewis was a chubby little 12 year old. Now he's grown into a man, and well, has become one of the hottest Harry Potter Actors from Dumbledore's Army.  He has recently been in The Rise, and the show Blue Stone 42.  He will also be in the  movie, The Brontes which will be out sometime in 2016.

Prince William and Kate were in France for the ribbon cutting ceremony that starts the Le Tour of France, a  a famous bicycle race.  Also, Prince George's 1st Birthday Will be on July 22nd, 2014, so be sure to send him a card! Prince Harry was also at the ribbon cutting ceremony to watch the Bikes race, and Le Tour Of  France is the 101th tour!




Harry Potter Celebrities:


J.K. Rowling has just released a new  piece of writing on Pottermore. This one not just about the Quidditch World Cup, but about Harry Potter at age 34.  Now, before you all get your wand in a knot,   its just a short piece,  though a clever one.  Lovely Luna Lovegood is mentioned,  so is Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Along with Neville Longbottom and Hannah (Abbott) I believe, along with Teddy Lupin who Harry has to take care of due to the deaths of Tonks and Lupin in the Battle of Hogwarts. Also present is Bill Weasley, and Charlie Weasley. Teddy Lupin and Victoria Lupin seem to be an item as well. It is a fun read! I recommend reading on pottemore.com or the Today show.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that now features Diagon Alley and Gringotts Bank and Hogsmeade in Universal Orlando opened yesterday, July 8th, 2014 to the public.

Daniel Radcliffe has recently been spotted in Bryant Park or Central Park, either way he was still walking 12 dogs for his new movie, Trainwreck.  He has also mentioned J.K. Rowling's story,  and said Harry is much older than him now,   and that he doesn't know about playing Harry again. **Also,  I calcuated, the 19 years later Epilogue in the book has not reached our time yet. It won't come for three more years, in 2017.**

Emma Watson is a fantastic role model and important one to young girls. Even though she just Graduated from Brown University,  she just revealed that she will become a Good Will Ambassador for the United Nations to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women.  She is also filming the movie Regression starring David Thewlis (Professor Lupin from Harry Potter)  and Ethan Hawke. She will also be in



Rupert Grint's movie Postman Pat, about a famous British Cartoon  will come to theaters January 16th, 2015 in the United States. and Rupert will also be doing one of the voices of an animated character.  He will also be on Broadway with Matthew Broderick this September.

It's only a Birthday, It's Only a Play, and It's only a Dark Mystery

What's new in the life of the British celebrities today? Well, lots and lots of new things are happening for some of our biggest stars and favorite royals. So let's start with the Royals of Britain.

Prince William had his 32nd Birthday on Saturday on June the 21st, 2014  also known as the summer solstice. He celebrated his birthday by receiving a helicopter from his Grandmother,  Queen Elizabeth the II. He celebrated at home with Duchess Kate Middleton and baby Prince George.


Prince Harry is currently in Brazil,  doing volunteer work by visiting hospitals and people in wheelchairs, just like his mother, Princess Diana did. He also attended one of the World Cup games,  Cameroon and Brazil on June 23rd in Brazil.




Harry Potter World will open Diagon Alley and it's new features on July 8th, 2014.   Last week,  was the preview event where several of our favorite Harry Potter stars attended. Those were:  Evanna Lynch, Matthew Lewis,  James and Oliver Phelps and Bonnie Wright.

Daniel Radcliffe  has a movie coming out. That will answer the question of  if boys and girls can really just be friends.  The two friends in the film try to be just that, just friends.  But from what I have seen in the previews,  it looks like Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe) may have fallen in love with his new best friend.  The movie  releases on August 8th, 2014 starring Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan.


Rupert Grint is following his fellow Harry Potter co-star, Daniel Radcliffe's footsteps this fall.  He will be in the upcoming Broadway play, It's  Only a Play starring Rupert Grint, will be Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre this fall.  For a 17 week time period only.  He will be in the play with  Matthew Broderick (Ferris Buller's Day Off,  The Lion King, and Godzilla).   It is about  Frank Finger (Grint) who is hosting a parting on opening night for his play.  He will also be a voice in Postman Pat,  and on the soundtrack for Postman Pat coming out next winter, January 16th 2015. It is an Animated film.  So listen for Rupert's voice as he plays Josh in the movie. 


Emma Watson is back to work after Graduating from Brown University.  She will be  in the film Regression,  a film  that is  An American-Spanish thriller. Emma will be working with Ethan Hawke and  David Denick.  Also David Thewlis  Professor Lupin from the Harry Potter Films) will be in this excellent cast.  The movie is about a father who has committed a crime but he has no memory of committing that crime. The film will release sometime in 2015.



 Tom Felton currently  stars in The Murder of the First.   The show will follow a  single case,  with arrests and trials of the crime.  Tom Felton Plays Erich Blunt. It aired this week on TNT.  Apparently he uses his British accent. It should be a suspensful show,  and I plan on watching it before I write my next blog!

Daniel Radcliffe can do a fantastic Irish accent in The Cripple of an Inishmann.

On a Sunny Sunday afternoon in Manhattan, my dad and I walked all the way to the Cort Theater On Broadway.  When we finally arrived,  there was a big sign saying Daniel Radcliffe in The Cripple of Inishmaan, by Martin McDonagh and Directed by  Michael Grundage.  The excitement in me could barely contain itself , as this was my second time seeing Daniel Radcliffe on stage but first time seeing him about 9 rows back. The theater inside was amazing, as well as the set and the performers.

Cort Theater is beautiful,   with seats that are covered with red fabric and beautiful paintings of the ceilings.  The stage had a curtain of what seemed to be a picture  of Ireland with rocks and water.   The show started at exactly 3:00 p.m., with these two hilarious women, who play the aunts of Billy, the Cripple of Inishmaan.  They stress about living in Ireland in 1935, and with Crippled Billy who likes to read and look at cows.   Then walks in the newsman,   Johnny  Pateenmike, who swears he has news to tell.  However, he goes on telling neighborhood gossip first,  which is just so hilarious that you laugh until you cry.  He takes so long, that in walks Bill,.our star of the show, and our hero.

Crippled Billy  as he is called in his hometown,  is a unique character. When Johnny Pateenmike tells him the news that the people who are from Hollywood, America, are coming to Inishmaan, Billy actually pulls away from his book. He of course wants to go and make a man out of himself, and doesn't want to live on this island anymore because people make fun of him too much and call him Cripple Billy.  Though he is not cripple,  Daniel Radcliffe makes it so believable. In fact in one scene, when he finds out his love interest Helen McCormick ( Sarah Greene)  and her brother, Bartley McCormick (Corner MacNeil) are taking a boat sailed by BabbyBobby (Padriac Delaney) to Hollywood,  Billy sneaks to the boat first.

Amazingly enough, in this boat scene Billy climbs over the cliff wall unscratched and didn't fall. Even with one arm and shaky legs.  The audience has gasps at this scene because of the worry that this might be where Billy falls badly. However, Daniel Radcliffe  is spectacular at Billy and Billy is amazing at climbing.  Billy  survives the trip to Hollywood.

There is one particular scene where it seems as if Billy is really dying because of the TB he told Bobbybabby he had.  Tears were coming out of my eyes, and they really do when it comes to any kind of movie/theater production. However,  it turns out that Billy had acted during this entire scene, for Hollywood. It was his screen test,  but when his body quivers and then silences,  the audience almost wants to scream "NO!" Not only because it's Billy, but because seeing Daniel Radcliffe play dead is not happy thing to think about. That said, Billy realizes through his acting that his family is more important to him and goes back to Ireland to home.

His Family are waiting for him, watching a silent film, and Helen teaches Billy's friend Bartley (her brother) a lesson on Ireland verses England.  She crushes eggs on to Bartley's head,  and says now that's England, and you're ireland to explain the issues going on between Ireland and England during 1935. Its extremely commical, and  Helen (Sarah Greene) makes you laugh so hard that you snort.   Shortly after this,  Billy comes back waiting behind the screen alive and healthy,  though his aunts are furious in a loving way.

In the end he proclaims his love to Helen,  and she  at first being her mean and stubborn self, tells him no, it's never going to happen because you're a  crippled. In the end though, she actually ends up saving his life because he was thinking about killing himself. She comes back, kisses him, and the curtain drops.


Daniel Radcliffe is amazing,  I have watched him grow since 2001.  From young Harry Potter to Allen Ginsberg and then to Billy, The Cripple of an Inishmaan.   Billy was by far his best role, and it was his most enjoyable to watch. Somewhere in the play,  I felt like I was in  Ireland because of the beautiful set, music, and of course accents. Though he is also British,  Daniel Radcliffe can do an amazing Irish Accent.  Every bit of the character is believable, and when Billy the Character has to act his dying scene,  you know that's when somebody's a good actor.  Daniel Radcliffe as mentioned above does this well, as he not only has to think of his lines, but Billy's lines,  and the lines, thoughts and emotions that Billy has to give to the director in 1935 Hollywood.

I strongly recommend that everyone see this play.  It shows not only the difficulties that the aunts have to go through with the Great Depression and raising a child who is not theirs, who  is with disability.  It also deals with Billy's own issues of being an orphan, and trying to find love with his disability.  He even wants people to start call him "just Billy" because he is tired of the name Crippled Billy. Then again who wouldn't be?
The message is simple hat love is unconditional and that even if you have a disability you still have people who care about you.

Note,  I would not recommend this play for ages 12 and under, because there is some violence and the accents are hard to understand. However, it is really up to you, because the play on Broadway in New York until July 20th. Which is actually near Daniel Radcliffe's birthday, so if you get to meet him after the show, be sure to wish a Happy Birthday to him!

Note, he does do a meet and greet if their are two shows in a row, or something like the Tony Awards afterwords. Which was unfortunate for me, but Security was kind enough to pass out autographed he had signed to fans.  So check the schedules, and I wish you luck!

What if? Kate Middlenton's not just a commoner? What if Rupert Grin'ts not just an actor, but a singer? What if, Daniel Radcliffe can play a Romantic Comedian?

A lot  has happened with our favorite British people in the  past couple of weeks since I have last written! So, lets get started. 

Kate Middleton has big news: She's not a commoner after all, actually she is a second cousin to the British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain.

The Duchess also attended her cousin's  wedding at  the Dorchester Hotel in London,  which apparently is most known for it's anti-gay views.  I do not know, or will put a claim on saying if Kate Middleton is anti-gay or not.  But usually, just attending a wedding doesn't have anything to do with political rights, even if the hotel does.

Prince Harry and Prince William recently played in the Audio Polo Challenge on Saturday, May 31st.  Later this month, Prince Harry will taking a trip to South America to cheer on his National team in the World Cup in Brazil.

Daniel Radcliffe is currently performing on Broadway with the play The Cripple of  Inishmaan in New York until July 20th, 2014.   I've heard great things about it, and that its his best role  yet.  It's about a man who has to deal with living with polo disease.   On a funnier note,   Radcliffe will be starring in the newest  romantic  comedy, What If.  It's to hit theaters this August, and I am super to so excited to see it. Could he possibly the new Hugh Grant?!

Emma Watson has just recently graduated Brown University!   This girl is amazing,  she's finished a number of films and still managed to earn her college degree.    Now that college is over, what is Emma Watson up to?  She is already at work in a new film called Regression that is being filmed in Toronto, Canada, with co-star Ethan Hawke.

Rupert Grint can sing, apparently.   Well, if you're a dedicated fan like myself,  you would already know that.. Considering he  used a rap video of himself to audition for Harry Potter way back in 2000.   Nonetheless,   he will be featured on the Postman Pat soundtrack! It seems that he's doing well with his career choices!

 

Emma Watson finally meets Prince William, and James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) support charity Events!

And so it begins..  Summer Vacation!   However... This blog will still continue as I know so many of you enjoy reading about our favorite British pupils.  As a writer,   I try to keep anonymous,  which is difficult to do in the days of technology.  If you do happen to already know who I am, please don't hack or add me as a friend on Facebook.   As I don't know you, it can cause some trouble.  As it has for some of our favorite royals.  That said, let's get started with our daily news!!

The Royals:

It is old news that Prince William and Princess Kate have had their phone hacked.  However according to People Magazine,    a reporter stated in a in a London Court Room that he had hacked Prince William's phone 35 times.  Not only that but, Princess Kate's  phone was hacked 155 times,  and Prince Harry's was hacked 9 times.  So obviously,  the Royals need to fix their passwords and privacy! At least they are not in serious danger or threatened by any body else. 

In other happy news: 

It looks like Emma Watson finally got to meet Prince William at Windsor Castle on May 14th!  This is one of those few times where both the stars I write about separately  are joined together!  The fancy event was to  support the Royal Marsden Cancer hospital. 

Ed Sheeran  recently  performed on the Season finally of this Year's Voice.   Also,  apparently he's been inspired by Taylor Swift, not that that's a bad thing! She is truly a great role  model for  young girls, and right, my point is   Ed Sheeran said on the Ellen DeGeneres show this past Friday (May 16th)  "To not get him mad, or he might write a song about you. Ah, ladies, well it looks like Sheeran is taken as well,  though it is not Taylor Swift. 

Our Harry Potter Stars, in other words, the news you actually want to hear about it!! 

Tom Felton has recently stared in the movie Belle,  that takes place in Georgian England.  It is mainly about  Dido Elizabeth Belle,   a mixed race  daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral in 16th century England.  However,  Tom plays the dashing young man,  James Ashford.  The Movie looks extremely interesting, so if you get a chance to watch it, let us know how Mr. Felton performs !! 

Evanna Lynch is a supporter of UNICEF,  and helps children in need.  She will also be a speaker at one of Oxford Union's Debate.    She recently just played  an interesting character in G.B.F. (Gay Best Friend)  Which is a Netflix movie I  highly recommend for fans of Evanna and  of Sasha (Ali) from Pretty Little Liars.

James and Oliver Phelps are fanastic when it comes to charity events.  In fact, this past weaken on Sunday May 18th, 2014,  took part in a soccer charity event. Then on Monday, they took it to another level, by playing in a  charity golf game, and then  a charity rugby game.  The Rugby Game was for helping former service men and women to adapt to civilization life, and it is called Rugby For Heroes According to Mugglenet.com  If you ever get a chance to meet them,  they are very nice indeed.

Inside Great Britian's Royals and the latest of Harry Potter stars!

Well, hello there everyone! I know it has been quiet awhile since I have last written. Due to classes this semester.. there hasn't been much  leisure time.  However,  The Hogwarts Times is back and better than before.  With  a few new pieces of information and one more favorite British star to add to the  list, Ed Sheeran.

So, without further ado we begin our quest:



The Royals.  What have they been up too?  Where have they gone, and is Prince Harry actually getting married?!

 

   First- Just recently my sources tell me that the Duchess Kate and Prince William have been on tour in Australia and New Zealand with baby Prince George!!    Their biggest adventure was attending the Taronga Zoo, where  Prince George met a Bibly named after him.  What on earth is a Bibly you may ask? Well,  it's a a shy nocturnal marsupial   and lives in Australia.  It's basically a bunny, but has longer ears and a pink pointed  nose. Prince Harry  has been spotted in  America for a friend's wedding, rumored to be with Prince William the these past few weeks. After he and his girlfriend split,  the two brothers went off to Memphis Tennessee.  So it looks like Prince Harry may be a  bachelor again after all!


What's better than a British man who can sing? Nothing. Nothing at all.   Ed Sheeran  is a fantastic musician and he's only 23.  This past year he did a  tour with Taylor Swift.  Now he's touring on his own in America this summer.   Not only that, in the past two weeks has released two new songs  in video format.  His album "X" should becoming out sometime soon!  If you get the chance to watch his accoustic video, it is truly amazing.

Emma Waston Recently starred in NOAH with Russel Crowe. Which was a little odd, but Emma was fantastic.  I honestly think it was her best role next to Perks of Being a Wallflower.  Emma Watson  is also doing her part in activism, and suppporing  the #BringBackOuGirls   hastag, for Nigeria.  276 school girls were kidnapped and taken by an Islamic extremist group.

Daniel Radcliffe:  What is Harry Potter up to do these days?  Stage Theater..   Daniel Radcliffe  has been playing a character The Cripple of the Inishmaan,  about a boy named Billy with a disability, who is the star of the show.   In other news.. it has just been revealed that no,  Daniel and Emma are not as close as they used to be! Ah well... friendships grow apart.
